An introduction to Newborn Photography for beginner photographers.

About the event

Interested in taking images of newborn babies? Come and join me for an informal chat and a 'cuppa' in my studio. This workshop aims to help beginner photographers understand newborn photography. We will be discussing safety, camera setups, lens choice, studio props, and lighting options.

Non-Sony Shooters (Photographers) are welcome.

Due to COVID-19, no Newborn baby will be available, but we do have a cute newborn baby-doll for demonstration purposes.

Techniques covered

Photographing Newborns safely
Recommended camera settings
Working with natural and artificial lighting
Using a reflector
Ideas for setting up a studio and "prop" station
Purchasing "props."

Parking is available on our property.

Can minors (under 18) register for this event if accompanied by a responsible adult who also books their own ticket?

Please be aware that if the day is designated as a "Total Fire Ban" day, this workshop will be cancelled and a full refund will be given.

What precautions are in place to prevent the spread of COVID at this event?

COVID-19 IMPORTANT INFORMATION: It is expected that all workshop attendees practice social distancing and avoid sharing equipment. If you have symptoms, are being tested and awaiting results, have tested positive, or have come in contact with anybody who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days, you must not attend the event.
