Learn how to create stunning long exposure images

About the event

In this workshop we will cover everything that's required to capture and process beautiful long exposure images.

Meeting in Tairua, I will explain in detail how I process my long exposure images. Then we'll head out to our location and shoot long exposures until the light fades. 

As an added bonus I will be bringing a selection of Sony cameras and lenses with me. This provides the perfect opportunity to try before you buy, or simply have a play around with some different gear. 

Note: You don't need to use a Sony camera for this workshop, however you may not fully benefit from the tutoring experience and gear on hand.

Techniques covered

  • Capturing long exposures effectively and accurately
  • Processing your images to get the most out of your RAW files

What to bring

  • Camera & lenses
  • Tripod
  • Shutter release (wired or through an app)
  • Filter set (some filters may be available on the day, but I would recommend that you bring your own)
  • Notepad and pen so you can take notes

Although we will have some gear on hand, ideally you'll have your own camera and lenses.
Wrap up well, it'll be chilly.
Ideally you will have a 10-stop ND filter. If you don't please contact Hakan prior to booking.
