About the event
Calling all Hobbit fans!
Join me for an adventure on my familly farm in Piopio, New Zealand - the filming location for Peter Jacksons "The Hobbit".
You will be walking where the dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf rode their horses down the hillside, across the stream and through the limestone rock formations to Trollshaw Forest.
This is your chance to photograph the magnificent Mangaotaki Valley, high cliff tops, limestone formations with fossils, an unexplored cave and a beautiful waterfall set amongst native fernery and bush that very few people even know exists. Visit the cave, surrounding rocks and our very own hole in the rock!
We will enjoy afternoon tea in the family hut, go for a swim, and then meet back at the top the cliffs where you will have the chance to set up your tripod for your very own scene straight out of the movie. We will even have a model available for you to capture!
Our evening will finish up at The Owls Nest for dinner.
This is going to be a fun photowalk suitable for all levels of photography. You do not need to have a Sony camera to attend this photo adventure!
