A casual photowalk at Piha Beach

About the event

Join me for a casual photowalk at Piha, one of the most popular and photo-friendly beaches in Auckland.

The structure will be super loose. While a few basic principles of outdoor portraiture and landscape photography will be covered, there won't be any formal teaching. This is just a great opportunity to get some fresh air (and maybe a coffee), talk photography, meet new people, and take some cool photos!

Techniques covered

  • Basics of landscape photography
  • Basics of portrait photography 

What to bring

  • A camera - ideally one that allows manual control of aperture, shutter speed and ISO 
  • Memory card
  • Warm clothing 
  • Suitable footwear
