About the event

Join me for a discussion and tutorial on creative image capture, followed by a group photo walk to practice different techniques.

I will share what I know about Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), visualising an abstract image, 'shoot through' techniques and conveying emotion in imagery.

As we will be a small group beginner photographers are welcome. I can talk you through camera settings and technique and help you become comfortable with each concept.

  • Colour theory and emotion in imagery
  • Visualising an abstract image

What to bring

  • Mirrorless or DSLR camera - we will be using manual settings so your camera needs to have a manual mode
  • Lens - whichever you prefer, everything we cover can be done with one lens, 24-70mm range will be fine
  • Sensible walking shoes
  • Warm clothing

Some loan gear may be available. Please indicate upon registration if you will not have a camera with you.
Warm clothing, sensible walking shoes and a raincoat if there is any chance it will rain on us.
