Push the Limits of What Your Sony FX6 Can Do.
We’re excited to announce an advanced hands-on workshop with one of Australia’s leading Directors of Photography — Peter Vidulich, known throughout the industry simply as Vid. With credits spanning Million Dollar Secret, Beast Games, The Mole, and Stars on Mars, Vid brings deep, practical knowledge from the world of high-end television production — and now he’s sharing it with you.
This is a rare opportunity to work directly with a top-tier DOP before he heads off on his next major project. Designed specifically for experienced FX6 users, this workshop will take you beyond the basics — diving into advanced setups, cinematic workflows, and creative decision-making.
Some of Vid's Projects
Who is this for?
Experienced FX6 Owners. If you’ve already spent time with your FX6 and want to refine your approach, streamline your workflows, and unlock more of what this camera can do — this day is for you. A working knowledge of the FX6 is assumed, but a desire to push boundaries is essential.
Why this workshop is different:
• Intimate class size – limited to 12 shooters only.
Vid has personally requested a small group to ensure everyone gets direct access and meaningful feedback throughout the day.
• Hands-on, production-level learning.
This is not a theory class. Expect real-world scenarios, practical lighting and camera setups, and the kind of problem-solving that mirrors life on set. You'll walk away with refined techniques you can apply immediately to your next shoot.
• An open, collaborative space.
There’s no ego here. Vid fosters an environment where experienced shooters can exchange ideas, challenge each other creatively, and ask the kinds of questions that lead to real breakthroughs.
Focus: Elevating Your Cinematic Craft with the FX6.
We’ll cover advanced camera configuration, LUTs, dynamic range optimization, and high-end shooting techniques. The emphasis will be on storytelling through lens choices, lighting control, camera movement, and set discipline — all tailored to the FX6's strengths.
What to Expect:
A full day of in-depth, hands-on instruction with a focus on building pro-level confidence and precision. You’ll leave with refined skills, practical takeaways, and a deeper understanding of how to make the FX6 work for your visual style — alongside a group of peers working at a similar level.
Lunch is included! We can’t wait to have you.
This is a one-day-only chance to level up with one of the best in the business. Spaces are limited and will move fast — don’t miss out.
