Transform your raw wildlife images into striking, professional editorial portraits, This workshop is designed to take you behind the scenes of a professional post-processing workflow, moving from the absolute basics of file management to the advanced nuances of realistic colour grading.
Instead of heavy over-processing, you will learn how to honor the true beauty of nature while making your subjects standout with clarity, depth, and impact.
What you will learn
- The Editorial Philosophy: Understanding the fine line between digital art and ture editoral wildlife photography. Learn why preserving realism and authentic textures is key for publications and competitions.
- Smart Culling & Cropping: Master the art of selecting the perfect frame from a burst of action shots. Learn how to crop intentionally to eliminate background distractions and give your subjects "room to breathe".
- Balancing Highlights & Shadows: Learn to rescue tricky exposures. We will cover how to pull back blown-out whites feathers, lift deep shadows in dark fur, and establish a perfectly balanced dynamic range.
- Editorial Colour Grading: Discover how to manipulate distracting backgrounds colours (like greens or muddy browns) using HSL panels and colour wheels. Learn to shirft tones to create a cohesive. cinematic and natural mood.
- Subject Islation & AI Masking: Master precise local adjustments. Learn how to subtly enhance your subject, add life to the amimal's eye and keep your backgrounds buttery smooth.
- Noise Reduction Sharpness: Tackle High-ISO noise from low-light shoots. Learn how to apply modern noise reduction techniques without sacrificing the crisp, fine details of feathers and fur.
