Join Lindsay Poland and Sony's Peter Jackson for a Macro photography workshop
This course is ideal for anyone who currently uses Sony, or perfect for anyone interested in the Sony System. A range of the latest Sony bodies and lenses will be available to try. (If you would like to loan a Sony camera, e-mail us!)
Macro photography is one of the most popular forms of photography and with good reason! Having the right technique is the difference between good and outstanding results. This is your chance to learn how to navigate the technical hurdles to achieve a sharp image of a tiny object. With endless possibilities, enter the world of fine detail with this 4-hour session sharing tips and tricks to achieve better macro photographs.
This is a hands-on session will be be begin at L2 at the Hotel Richmond before making our way through the CBD and Adelaide Botanic Gardens. The small class will allow the explanation of technical and artistic aspects of great macro photography with a strong focus on hands-on time in the garden.
A selection of Sony Macro and premium lenses, along with cameras from the Sony range will be available should you wish to try out something from your wish list

What To Bring? Your Sony camera fully charged, if you don't own one Sony will organise a loan unit. Please ensure you purchase or bring your macro lens and a sturdy tripod. As this is a photo walk, please ensure you wear comfortable shoes and suitable attire to suit weather conditions. You may find it beneficial to keep existing photos on your memory card for critique by our trainer. Masks are mandatory at our events.
About Your Trainer: Lindsay has been running photography workshops in Adelaide for over 17 years since moving here from his native Scotland. He studied Audio Visual Technology in his home town of Edinburgh, before moving to London and then to Berlin. After owning a studio and photo lab in the UK, he then moved to Australia to pursue his passion for photography and teaching. As well as conducting training for Diamonds, he also conducts the photography training program for Adelaide Zoo.
