About the event
The master of craft and creativity, Colin Jeffs will join forces with Sony Australia for a two-day, multi-city intensive masterclass on filmmaking & music video production. This workshop will explore everything from production setup and workflow to the ins and outs of the Sony Alpha & Cinema Line, as well as shooting and editing techniques. You’ll follow the process from conception to final cut, while learning to harness your creativity through experimentation and collaboration.
Day one will take place in person, either at Sydney Props Studio in Sydney (November 15th) or Melbourne (November 17th, Location TBC). At this event, Colin with share powerful tips and tricks to take your music video craft to the next level, covering everything from client relationships, to designing your shoot, to working with talent. In the second half of the day, you'll have a chance to get hands-on and shoot a live band, putting what you've learned into action while Colin and his team provide real-time feedback for the group.
Day two is an online tutorial on Saturday 19th November (the weekend following day one); Colin will work with an editor to step you through the process of taking great raw footage and crafting it into a polished final video. Using the footage you captured on day one, you'll create a music video segment that's ready to share.
On the day at your chosen venue, food and drink will be provided throughout the day, and you will receive a CEAG80T memory card included in your ticket price- our way of saying thank you for coming, and taking the sweat out of finding a memory card that works.
