Commercial Photography Career Talk with Victoria Baldwin

On Saturday, June 6th, renowned food photographer Victoria Baldwin will give an overview of her career to date, and then share her thoughts on how to develop a fulfilling and sustainable business as a freelance commercial photographer.

Victoria is an Auckland-based advertising photographer and director with a passion for food and the human connection that it inspires. Her work showcases a vivid realism through bold, optimistic images that are regularly seen on billboards, bus shelters, posters, and packaging.

Originally from Sydney, Victoria grew up with an obsession for food – coming from a family in food production it was a big part of her life from a young age. Upon discovering a love for photography at high school, her creative flair naturally combined with her adoration for the culinary arts. Since then, Victoria has delved into every part of the process and now finds herself equally at home in a field as she is in the studio.

Victoria is also a leader in the photographic community, having founded the Women’s Work Collective and served as vice president of the Advertising and Illustrative Photographers Association. She has appeared on and hosted numerous panel discussions, webinars, and workshops, sharing her knowledge and skills to create a better world with equality and compassion at its core.
