About the event
Some years ago, Paula Vigus (@gapt.it_photography) stumbled across the world of fungi, and through repeated expeditions into native forest, became captivated by the wonder and enchantment of this diverse underworld. In this realm of macro photography, she found her creative niche — leading her to provide the imagery for Liv Sission’s bestselling book Fungi of Aotearoa.
In October 2025, Paula released her own book, A Hidden World — a stunning photographic tribute to the beautiful but often overlooked fungi of Aotearoa.
Holding LPSNZ honours with the Photographic Society of New Zealand, Paula has also led workshops and talks across the country, inspiring others to discover the art and joy of photographing nature’s smallest marvels.
NB: All ticket proceeds will be donated to Big Buddy, helping raise funds in support of men’s health across Aotearoa.
