About the event
This unique free event is open to women photographers only. Sony Australia has partnered with Ann Odong to provide this unique opportunity and window into professional sports photography for women who otherwise may not have the connections and opportunity to achieve this kind of access. Because of the unique nature of the event, applications will be accepted via the form link below.
Get exclusive field-side access to photograph a National Premier League Women’s 1st grade match with women’s football photographer and Football Australia Media & PR Manager, Ann Odong. Ann will be guiding you through every shot so you can capture the best of action and emotion on the field, and attendees will get access to Sony’s best sports camera bodies and lenses to use on the day.
There will be a pre-workshop online meeting 2 days prior where Ann will brief you on what to expect on the day and basic camera settings for the sporting context. There will also be post-workshop online meeting the following week to learn about Ann’s post photography workflow and editing techniques.

About the host : Finding a passion for photography in her mid-20s, Ann has been photographing women’s football since 2008. During that time she has captured images from all 16 seasons of the Australian Women’s League, 12 seasons of the NSW NPL, 6 FIFA World Cups (men’s and women’s), 4 Women’s Asian Cups and two Olympic Games.
What to bring

- Sony camera gear and memory cards will be provided on the day but bringing your personal camera is also welcomed
- Laptop and external hard drive to backup photos on the night (Sony card readers will be provided)
