Great Ocean Road - Multi Day Portraits and Landscape Photographic Adventure

EVENT COST: $1500 per photographer. Limited to 10 photographers only. 

All in attending the session must reserve their spot through Sony Scene and pay a $100 booking fee. The remaining $1400 is due by November 30, 2024. Full payment is required to confirm your booking. Details on how to pay the balance will be provided to registered attendees.

Join for an immersive three-day, two-night photography workshop dedicated to capturing landscapes and portraits at some of Australia's most iconic and stunning spots along the Great Ocean Road. I'll assist you in cultivating your personal photographic style and share the tips, tricks, and techniques I've gathered from years of portrait photography.

DAY 1: 13th December 2024 (FRIDAY)

Departure: 11:00am. We will depart from Cheltenham, Melbourne. Transportation will be provided. However if you wish to drive and bring your own car you are welcome.

Lunch: We will stop at Lorne for lunch. Lunch will be provided.

Arriving at location: 3:00pm (Hotel/Airbnb)

Refreshment and sattledown break: 1 hour

POOL PORTRAITS - FASHION AND GLAMOUR WORKSHOP

4:30PM to 7:00PM - 2 and half hours. 

Location: Hotel/Airbnb

we’ll have two models available for photography training focused on fashion and glamour in a pool setting. Participants will be divided into two groups, maintaining a ratio of five photographers to one model. We'll cover essential tips and techniques for capturing stunning fashion and glamour shots. For optimal results, please bring a 24-70mm lens, an 85mm prime lens, and a 70-200mm lens, as these are ideal for this style of photography.

Dinner: 8:00pm - Dinner will be provided at  (Hotel/Airbnb)

General photography chat and down time. Hot the beds 10pm for a early start next day. 

DAY 2: 14th December 2024 (SATURDAY)

SUNRISE BEACH WORKSHOP

5:30am to 8:00am - 2 and Half hours. 

Location: Beach

An immersive Beach Portraits Photography Workshop where you'll learn to harness the natural beauty of the seaside setting to capture stunning images without relying on artificial lighting.

Tech for making the most of natural sunlight, including how to position your subjects for the best lighting and adjust your exposure settings. Discover the art of using a 5-in-1 reflector to manipulate and enhance natural light, resulting in dynamic and captivating portraits. Helpful tips for achieving professional-quality shots without relying on flash or artificial lighting equipment.

We’ll have two models available for photography training focused on fashion and glamour in a pool setting. Participants will be divided into two groups, maintaining a ratio of five photographers to one model. 

After the beach workshop we will head back to the hotel/airbnb where we will freshup and have breakfast. 

FASHION EDITORIAL PORTRAITS WORKSHOP

11:30am to 2:00pm - 2 and Half hours. 

Location: Hotel/Airbnb

You'll learn techniques for styling, posing, and using natural light effectively, while working with professional models. Enhance your skills in creating captivating fashion photography and receive personalised feedback to refine your unique style. Perfect for photographers looking to elevate their editorial portfolio! We’ll have two models available for photography training focused on fashion and glamour in a pool setting. Participants will be divided into two groups, maintaining a ratio of five photographers to one model. 

After the fashion editorial workshop, we will have lunch and some downtime for everyone to take rest, go through their photos and an open discussion on editing and how to improve your portraits photography skills. 

OFF CAMERA FLASH BEACH PORTRAITS WORKSHOP

5:30pm to 8:00pm - 2 and Half hours. 

Location: Beach

Off-Camera flash Beach Portraits Photography Workshop where you'll learn to harness the natural beauty of the seaside setting to capture stunning images with the use of off-camera flash and continous lighting.

We’ll have two models available for photography training focused on fashion and glamour in a pool setting. Participants will be divided into two groups, maintaining a ratio of five photographers to one model. 

With off-camera flash beach portraits workshop, we will conclude our 2nds day with 3 amazing workshops. Head back to the hotel/airbnb where we will have dinner and get ready for our last day adventure. 

DAY 3: 15th December 2024 (SUNDAY)

WATERFALLS AND PORTRAITS

7:30am to 11:30am - 4 HOURS 

Location: Erskine Falls (We may change the falls location depending on access and weather)

We will leave hotel/airbnb early about 5:30am, so that we can get to the location in an hour and start our hike, we will get to the waterfalls setup and shoot there for about 4 hours.

This session will be devided in 2 sessions. We will capture some fashion portraits using flowy dresses and in 2nd session we will do more glamour and beach look.  

After we wrapup from waterfalls workshop, we will head back to the hotel/airbnb, we will have lunch and some downtime to relax and go through our photos from the morning session. 

Choice of either 12 Apostles (Great Ocean Road) Landscape Workshop or a 2nd round of Pool Portraits Workshop

Depending on the group voting we will decide if we would like to do a 2nd session of Pool Portraits or go to the 12 Apostles and capture apostles with the sunset as a landscape workshop. 

With this last session we will conclude our 3 days trip. Any one driving to the location will have a choice to head back home if they wish to, or they can still stay back and leave on Monday morning.

Rest of us who are left at the hotel/airbnb, we will start our journey back to Melbourne at 9am on Monday 16th Decemeber. 

This will be a great event and chance for photographers to socialise, enjoy some down time out of business life, and have a great portraits and landscape photography adventure away from dailly busy life. 

I will provide full details to all the registered attendees by the frst week of Decemeber.
