A fun, hands-on introduction to photography designed especially for young creatives aged 9–18 years.
Led by Sony Digital Imaging Advocate and professional photographer Kirsty Joy, this 1.5-hour session gives kids the opportunity to get behind a real camera, learn the basics, and start exploring photography in a fun and supportive environment.
We’ll cover camera settings, focus, exposure, composition, lighting, and creative ways to capture different subjects - putting everything into practice with photography challenges throughout the session.
No camera or previous photography experience is needed, Sony cameras will be supplied for participants to use, or they’re welcome to bring their own camera along.
The focus will be on learning by doing, experimenting, and encouraging kids to develop their own creative eye.
Kirsty is a police-vetted junior sports coach with many years of experience working with and teaching young people.
