About the event
Join Sony Digital Imaging Advocates Craig Turnbull and Dylan Gianna for a guided Long Exposure Photography Workshop at Sydney’s Milson’s Point on Saturday, 20th September 2025.
This workshop is ideal for photographers who want to get the most out of their neutral density (ND) filters or refine their approach to cityscape photography. With guided tuition, you’ll learn how to use long exposure techniques to capture movement and create dynamic images of Sydney’s harbourfront.
Every attendee will also receive a FREE One Day Pass (valued at $39) to the Sony SceneScape Tradeshow 2025.
At the workshop, you will learn how to:
- Take creative control over your camera’s shutter speed with ND filters
- Utilise graduated neutral density (GND) filters to balance the overall exposure of a scene
- Calculate your shutter speed when using ND filters
- Use long exposure techniques to add compositional elements and guide the viewer’s eye
After the workshop, you’ll be invited to join a private Facebook group exclusively for past attendees of Dylan Gianna Photography Workshops. This group provides an ongoing space to share images, ask questions, and continue learning.
Haida Filters and Maxxum have kindly provided Dylan with a few of their filters for participants to use. Please email dylangiannaphotography@outlook.com before booking to confirm availability and reserve a loaner kit.
