About the event

Join Shae Estella for a hands-on Natural Light Portrait Workshop on the 13th of October 2024 at the beautiful Victoria Park, Brisbane.

This workshop is designed for photographers of all levels to enhance their skills in shooting natural, engaging portraits.

Victoria Park / Barrambin is a natural retreat and urban park for adventure, discovery and reconnection. There is already so much to see and do with 64 hectares of open space, rolling green hills and expansive city views to enjoy.

MAIN SHOOT LOCATION: VICTORIA PARK -  309 Herston Rd, Herston QLD 4006

DATE & TIME: Sunday 13th October, 2024 from 4pm-6pm

Everything is provided for you to capture high end content for your portfolio on this stunning location in the heart of Brisbane!

Please note we will be walking around Victoria Park to various locations which require a gentle uphill or downhill direction. Please wear appropriate footwear and be fit and able to move to each location safely.

 

Content Shoot Inclusions

Participants will have the opportunity to work with two professional models, ensuring ample time and space to capture a wide variety of images.

Throughout the session, you'll learn how to direct models for authentic poses, utilize natural light effectively, and create portraits that feel relaxed and genuine. Whether you're looking to build your portfolio or refine your portrait techniques, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to elevate your photography in a supportive and inspiring environment.

  • Pre shoot brief on locations and models
  • 1.5 hour shoot at sunset at Victoria Park, Brisbane
  • 2 x Models to allow for plenty of time and space to photograph them
  • Model styling including outfits, hair and makeup, jewellery
  • Tips and Tricks by Shae on each scene to shoot
  • Post content shoot online session to discuss editing, workflow and delivery
  • Opportunity to borrow Sony equipment to try (cameras / lenses / flash)
  • Travel to Victoria Park, BRisbane

The Schedule

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13th

3:45pm – Meet at Victoria Park, Brisbane
4:00pm – Brief of the shoot, tips and tricks to get the best portrait photography of models
4:30pm – Portrait Session - Location #1
5:00pm – Portrait Session - Location #2
5:30pm – Portrait Session - Location #3 (Sunset)

6:00pm - Conclude Workshop

MONDAY, OCTOBER 14th - ONLINE EDITING SESSION

Should weather impact the shoot day, we will reschedule for the Friday, 25th of October 2024 from 4-6pm.
