About the event
This program is designed for photography enthusiasts eager to enhance their skills with guidance from professionals.
Each month a two-hour workshop will be co-led by a Sony Digital Imaging Ambassador or Advocate and a Sydney Observatory host.
Sony Australia will provide photography equipment for use during each workshop, though participants are welcome to bring their own.
If you are borrowing equipment, please bring:
- An empty SD card that can be formatted in the camera.
If you are bringing your own equipment, please bring:
- A camera with manual controls and interchangeable lenses (such as a mirrorless or DSLR camera). If you do not have this camera, an appropriate camera will be provided by Sony Australia.
- Ultra-wide-angle lenses suitable for astrophotography (focal length between 12mm & 24mm preferably with f/2.8 or faster). Bring any wide-angle lenses you have. If you do not have these lenses, appropriate lenses will be provided by Sony Australia.
- Remote shutter for camera
- Charged batteries
- Empty memory cards
- Sturdy tripod with suitable plates for your camera
- A small towel to cover your camera while standing.
What to wear:
- Warm layered clothing, including a beanie or other warm headwear, and warm socks with sturdy shoes or boots.
- Please bring a working headlamp or torch (no mobile phone torches please).
