Step into the world of photography that is a little out there in this dynamic and inspiring masterclass with Bruce Moyle, where creativity meets technique in a controlled studio environment. This hands-on workshop experience focusses on mastering the delicate balance of lighting and posing to capture the human form in unique expressive state.
You’ll learn to harness the power of light—how it can sculpt, define, and soften the body—through various setups, from dramatic high contrast lighting to softer, diffused styles that highlight the natural curves and lines of the model. Understanding the interplay between light and shadow is key to evoking emotion and depth in your images, and this masterclass gives you the tools to do just that.
We’ll explore abstraction of form, pushing beyond conventional photography to create art that challenges perception. By playing with shapes, angles, and creative lighting and camera techniques, you’ll discover how to transform the human body into a dynamic visual composition, where form and texture take centre stage.
Whether you’re interested in studio portraits, classic portraiture or experimental fine art, this workshop will expand your creative range, offering invaluable insights into both technical execution and artistic expression. Perfect for enthusiast and professional photographers looking to enhance their skills, or anyone curious about the art of capturing the human form in a respectful, thoughtful, and visually compelling way.
The masterclass will end with a breakdown of editing examples that will get you started taking the raw beauty of the shoot and refining it to a gallery worthy piece of art.
This workshop is suited to intermediate photographers with a DSLR or mirrorless camera that has a hot shoe for flash/strobe attachments. You will need to be familiar using your camera in manual mode and have a good understanding of photography basics.
