2. Fundamentals of Photography: Learn the core principles of photography, including camera operation, composition, framing, and understanding exposure. We'll guide you through the process of transforming everyday scenes into captivating images.

3. Camera Equipment and Accessories: Discover the capabilities of your camera, whether you're using a DSLR, mirrorless, or even a smartphone. We'll discuss essential accessories and how to make the most of your equipment. 

4. Hands-On Practice: Put theory into practice as we engage in real-world shooting sessions. You'll have opportunities to capture a variety of subjects and experiment with techniques under the guidance of an experienced award winning photographer.

  • Camera Operation: Learn how to use your camera effectively, including adjusting settings like ISO, aperture, and shutter speed. 
  • Composition: Discover the principles of composition, such as the rule of thirds, leading lines, and framing, to create visually appealing images. 
  • Exposure Control: Understand the concept of exposure and how to achieve the right balance of light and shadow in your photos. 
  • Lighting: Explore the impact of natural and artificial lighting and how to use it to your advantage in different settings. 
  • Creative Photography: Experiment with creative techniques, such as long exposure, depth of field, and perspective, to add depth and interest to your photos. 
  • Post-Processing: Basic post-processing techniques, including color correction, cropping, and enhancing image details using software like Adobe Lightroom. 

What to bring

  • Camera: If you have your own camera, whether it's a Sony or another brand, please bring it along. Make sure it's fully charged, and if it uses removable batteries, consider bringing spare ones. 
  • Memory Cards: Have a few spare memory cards to ensure you have enough storage space for your photos. 
  • Charged Camera Batteries: Ensure your camera's batteries are fully charged before attending the workshop. 
  • Comfortable Clothing: Wear weather-appropriate and comfortable clothing, especially if we'll be heading outdoors.
  • Notepad and Pen: A notepad and pen can be handy for jotting down notes and photography tips.
