Sony Alpha Weekend - Great Ocean Road

Camera House
Capture Australia's most iconic coastline at day and night.

About the event

Sony Alpha Weekend - Great Ocean Road

Join the team from Camera House Geelong and Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Dylan Giannakopoulos on 19th-21st August for a unique Sony photography experience along the Great Ocean Road. This is a rare opportunity to capture Australia’s most iconic coastline at day and night, and even photograph the 12 Apostles from a helicopter.

Day 1 – Friday 19th August

The Sony Alpha Weekend starts with a brief presentation. Guests will get their pick of Sony’s latest and greatest e-mount lenses and cameras to loan for the weekend.  Guests check in to their accommodation and then we head out for a sunset shoot. We will have a group dinner together and relax a bit before heading out for an astrophotography session to finish off day 1.

Day 2 – Saturday 20th August

The second day starts with a lovely breakfast at a local café in Port Campbell. We will then regroup and travel to the 12 Apostles Visitor Centre. For those that opt-in for the Helicopter flight, you will come aboard our privately charted, doors-off helicopter flight with 12 Apostles Helicopters (subject to minimum numbers). With just three passengers on the helicopter, everyone gets to shoot from a window seat without obstructions. For those guests that choose not to fly, you will have the option to independently explore the town of Port Campbell or visit Gibson Steps. To cap things off, we will go out for another sunset and astrophotography session in the evening.

$250 Optional Extra - Privately Chartered Doors Off Helicopter Flight- This optional extra is part of the Sony Alpha Weekend - Great Ocean Road event. This ticket must be purchased in conjunction with a Sony Alpha Weekend - Great Ocean Road to be valid. You cannot attend this not a standalone event.  To book the Sony Alpha Weekend - Great Ocean Road.
