About the event
Join the team from Camera House Geelong and Sony Digital Imaging Advocate Dylan Giannakopoulos on 20th-21st August for a unique Sony photography experience along the Great Ocean Road. This is your opportunity to capture Australia’s most iconic coastline at day and night.
This will experience includes:
Seascape and Astrophotography sessions along the Great Ocean Road.
On-location tuition from Dylan Giannakopoulos (Sony Digital Imaging Advocate) and Sony DI Specialists on how to make most of the location and your camera.
Your pick of Sony’s latest and greatest e-mount lenses and cameras to loan for the duration of the event.
Event Itinerary:
Day 1 – Saturday
The event kicks off with guests getting their pick of Sony’s Latest and greatest e-mount lenses and cameras to loan for the event. Guests check in to their accommodation and then self-drive to our first location for a sunset shoot. We will have a group dinner together and relax a bit before heading out for an astrophotography session to finish off day 1.
Day 2 – Sunday
After a big evening of shooting, we will have breakfast followed by a short debrief session and loan equipment will be collected. Before we depart for our trip home, the team from Camera House Geelong will be there with some very special, event exclusive offers for guests.

Please note the astrophotography portion of the event is weather dependent. This ticket type is self-driven, and no transportation is included. Please consider booking the Sony Alpha Weekend – Great Ocean Road event if you would like an extended experience with transportation included.

- Camera Lenses (focal lengths of 16-35mm and 24-70mm are recommended)
