This interactive workshop covers a wide array of light painting. techniques that will help you see light in a different way. Denis will take you through several zones setup to push the boundaries of what you can do with light. Hand light a motorcycle, create a Ball of Light and create portraits that inspire. Denis will also be demonstrating the technique used to create the body of work seen at the DUALITY exhibition.
As always, these workshops are hands on. You will get the opportunity to create your own light painting images.
You will learn:
- The basics of controlling your camera for light painting images
- Various techniques of light painting, hands on
- The relationship between camera settings and lighting outcomes
- How movement and flow can bring magic into your light painting
About Denis Smith: Denis is firmly established as one of Adelaide’s most renowned photographers. After 20 years in high-end corporate sales, he changed his life with the internationally acclaimed ‘Ball of Light’ project. This set him on the path to becoming a full-time freelance photographer and video producer. Countless portraits, product shots and magazine cover later, Denis still approaches each creative challenge with sensitivity, originality and enthusiasm.His most recent work "DUALITY" was on display in the Port for SALA 2023.
