In conjunction with digiDirect and Sony Australia, join Sony Digital Advocate Robin Moon for a morning of Whale Watching!
Limited to just 20 spaces, your ticket entitles you to test the latest in Sony’s Zoom lenses and Sports bodies with the Sony Australia experts.
Sony Australia will have a selection of gear for you to be able to try out, including:

- 200-600m lens

- Sony Alpha A1
- Sony A7M4 /A7R5
- SonyRX 100 M4
You will receive on-board tuition and camera settings advice from at least two Sony experts, and expert advice from experienced whale watcher Robin Moon.
Robin has spent a number of years photographing these delightful mammals on their journeys north and south, and understands their behavioural patterns. She has spent a number of seasons swimming amongst them in the waters of Tonga, and photographing them from Antarctica.
If you’re a keen wildlife photographer , or just an enthusiastic beginner, a morning photographing whales will challenge and enhance your skill set. Be prepared to be delighted and awed by these sociable animals.
Attendees must meet at the wharf at 8:15. The boat will leave at 8:30. You MUST be on time, there will be no refunds for missing the boat. Cruise is 3 hours and will include tea and coffee.
You do not need to have a Sony camera to join us.
What to bring
- Camera equipment (please know how to find your camera settings, or bring your manual with you)
- SD cards Spare Batteries
- A camera strap is highly recommended
- Wet weather gear
- Warm clothing
- Sea sickness medication if you are prone.
- Flat outdoor non-slip shoes.

- No tripods please
