Kia ora! I'm a photographer based in the Manawatu, working across Aotearoa shooting weddings and commercial work. My approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, focusing on genuine connection and storytelling over stiff poses or staged moments. Whether it's a wedding, a family portrait session, or something a little different, my goal is always the same: to create honest, timeless images.

Since 2017, I’ve been using Sony mirrorless gear because it's a smaller, lighter system crammed with modern tech that works.

What is in your camera bag?

For weddings I am currently running a two camera set up; the Sony Alpha 7 V and Alpha 7R V, with the majority of the day shot on the 16-35mm F2.8 GM II and 50-150mm F2 GM zoom lenses. I also have the 35mm F1.4 GM and 50mm F1.2 GM prime lenses in my bag.

For sporting events and commercial jobs I also bring along my 70-200mm F2.8 GM II, 200-600mm F5.6-6.3 G and 2x Teleconverter.

Check out What's in my Camera Bag over at the Alpha Universe for what I had before I refreshed my kit.

Most memorable moment shooting with Alpha?

Any time I'm photographing a wedding is a privilege. Documenting intimate moments on a wedding day and capturing memories that the couple and their families and friends will cherish forever is pretty special.
