I have a masters degree in contemporary fine art, photography is my medium of choice. I am based in Palmerston North, New Zealand.
Having lived in the USA and Asia, and traveled through more than 30 countries, it’s safe to say I have a passion for discovery, travel, adventure, and capturing it all on camera.
I am interested in a wide range of photographic genres and techniques rather than one specific niche. I don’t like carrying a lot of equipment around which is why I love working with Sony gear.
My landscape and travel images have won awards within New Zealand and internationally. As an Ilford Master I am a strong advocate of the printed image and printing is an integral part of my creative process. The excitement of seeing an image in print is something I never tire of.
I really enjoy sharing my knowledge, skill and experience of photography, nature and travel with others. I take a relaxed, welcoming and inclusive approach to the way I work and believe firmly in embracing the fun, passion and creativity that the art of photography is about.
What is in your camera bag?
Usually as little as possible! Always my α7R IV body and 70-200mm lens, spare SD cards and battery, plus a wide or mid-range zoom, depending on where I'm shooting.
