Craig Turnbull is a Brisbane commercial, product, and wedding photographer with a passion for capturing the beauty of long exposure cityscapes. Craig was born and raised in Aberdeen, Scotland, where he developed an  interest in film photography at a very early age. In 2006, he bought his first DSLR camera, which marked the beginning of a successful and fulfilling career as a professional photographer.

Craig is not only a photographer but also a dedicated educator who has been running workshops for Phocademy since 2017. He loves sharing his knowledge and experience with budding photographers and helping them unlock their creative potential.

In 2018, Craig took a major step forward when he bought his first Sony mirrorless camera and consequentially became a Sony Digital Imaging Advocate. Since then, he has been exploring new horizons in photography and pushing the boundaries of what's possible with this cutting-edge technology.

What is your go to in your Alpha kit and why?

My go-to is my Sony Alpha 7R V coupled with the 50mm f/1.2 GM lens, it's super sharp, fast and versatile. Whether I'm shooting products, or walking the streets of Brisbane, I know the results are going to be awesome.

Most memorable moment shooting with Alpha?

My most memorable moment is my very first hands-on experience with the Alpha 7R III during a Sony Roadshow event in Brisbane. So memorable in fact, I bought my Sony kit that very night.
