Nestled amongst the breathtaking forests of The Patch, Victoria, Cinema Line House is an immersive filmmaking experience designed for creators, filmmakers and storytellers who want to elevate their craft.

Take part in the 8-Hour Short Film Challenge—an exciting one-day filmmaking competition where you'll have just eight hours to develop an idea, plan, shoot, edit and publish an original short film to your Instagram account. Working under real production conditions, you'll put your creativity, storytelling and technical skills to the test while competing against fellow filmmakers.

Throughout the day, you'll have the opportunity to borrow selection of Sony Cinema Line cameras, Sony Alpha cameras, an extensive range of G Master and Alpha lenses, and professional lighting equipment to help bring your vision to life.

Be among the first filmmakers in Australia to experience the all-new Sony FX5, while also experimenting with professional lighting techniques to elevate the look and feel of your film. Camera, lens and lighting loans are available on-site in limited quantities and are subject to availability.

Whether you're looking to refine your filmmaking skills, build your portfolio, collaborate with other creatives, or experience Sony's latest Cinema Line technology in a real-world production environment, Cinema Line House offers one of Australia's most unique hands-on filmmaking experiences.

Compete on your own or assemble a team of up to four filmmakers. Every participant must hold a valid event ticket. You're welcome to bring your own actors to appear in your film—they do not require a ticket unless they are participating in the competition.

At the end of the challenge, films will be judged on creativity, storytelling and technical execution, with incredible prizes up for grabs.
