Join award winning landscape astrophotographer Will Godward for an Adelaide City Full Moon and City Light Creative Workshop, where we will explore how to photograph the full moon rising over the Adelaide skyline and surrounding city lights. This workshop will also focus on long exposure techniques.
This workshop is designed to help you better understand how to capture the full moon using telephoto lenses, with a strong focus on correct settings, sharp results, planning, composition, and working with changing light.
Throughout the session, you will learn how to balance the moon's brightness with city lights, choose the right focal length, and create strong compositions featuring buildings, landmarks, and the urban landscape. We will also explore how the glow of the full moon and Adelaide's lights can be combined to create more atmospheric, creative night images.
Whether you are looking to photograph the moon itself, capture it rising behind the city, or create beautiful moonlit urban scenes, this workshop will help you build confidence in the field.
Please note, Moonrise is at 4:43pm and sunset is at 5:11pm. Please arrive in time to set up for the best composition and exposure. This workshop will still go ahead if it is cloudy, and the focus will be on long exposure photography.
