About the event

Adelaide's Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Colin J. Pearce, for your Astrophotography adventure in the Adelaide Hills with your Sony Alpha Camera.

This location has been chosen due to its particularly dark sky and the interesting foreground possibilities. We have been given special permission to be here, and the charge for this event partially contributes to that cost.

We're lucky in Australia to have one of the best places in the world to be able to see the Milky Way, and this is the ideal time of year. With modern Sony Alpha cameras we have incredibly powerful tools to capture the stars, which was impossible for normal photographers just a few short years ago.

NOTE: The night may change to Saturday 20th or Sunday 21st June, depending on the weather forecast. Colin will email you to confirm on Friday 19th (so please check your emails, including junk email box, or phone him to confirm on 0408 426 546).

Due to the face-to-face nature of this trip, you will be required to adhere to government regulations for the pandemic that are current at the time of this event.

Limited places available due to government requirements, so book quickly as we usually have many more people at these astrophotography field trips.

You can also prepare for the field trip by attending the online Zoom meeting on 13th June. Book for that meeting here on Sony Scene at:
