About the event
Join Colin J. Pearce (Sony Digital Imaging Advocate in Adelaide), for your Astrophotography adventure in the Adelaide Hills with your Sony Alpha camera.
This location has been chosen due to its particularly dark sky and the interesting foreground possibilities. We have been given special permission to be here, but request you donate $5 for use of the private property.
Sony is kindly lending us all eight of their wide-angle astro lenses, including the latest releases, so there's an opportunity to borrow them at this event.
We're lucky in Australia to have one of the best places in the world to be able to see the Milky Way, and this is the ideal time of year. With modern Sony Alpha cameras we have incredibly powerful tools to capture the stars, which was impossible for normal photographers just a few short years ago.
*** NOTE: Although the night will almost certainly be this Sunday 13th June, due to clouds being a major problem for astro, the night may have to change to any night from Thursday 10th to Monday 14th June, depending on the weather forecast. Colin will email you if there is a change (so please check your emails, including junk email box, or phone him to confirm on 0408 426 546).
You are welcome to drop out if the night doesn't suit you. ***
Due to the face-to-face nature of this trip, you will be required to adhere to government regulations for the pandemic that are current at the time of this event.
