About the event
Starting with coffee and a chat at the Cibo Express (corner of Halifax and Hutt Streets), with Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Colin J. Pearce. Following this we'll go for a walk in the beautiful, historical south-east corner of Adelaide city, representative of the classic early Adelaide Victorian architecture. This quiet, picturesque area has various photo opportunities.
Along South Tce., we'll step past the ornate gates of the Adelaide Himeji Garden and take a little green getaway to experience the beauty of Japan. The two styles of garden within the walls offer plenty of nooks, ideal for settling into a deep mediation. Sit beside the ‘kare senzui’, dry garden, where patterns combed into the rocks and sand evoke the presence of water, and even the sea itself. Perch on a rock by the water in the ‘senzui’ (lake and mount garden), where the water coupled with your imagination create images of vastness and grandeur.
Parking – There's some 2 and 3 hour parking in Halifax Street, west of Hutt Street. Also look along South Terrace for 2 and 10 hour parking. Beware some areas start these parking timings at 8am, some at 9am; most areas finish restrictions at 6pm.
