About the event
Come along to Sony Store at Sylvia Park shopping centre in Auckland to hear an inspiring and educational presentation by commercial lifestyle photographer and filmmaker Melissa Nickerson (@mel.nickerson).
Melissa's work is shaped by a lifelong passion for storytelling and adventure. Originally from the Pacific Northwest forests of Oregon, USA, she has spent the past decade capturing the unique landscapes and cultures of New Zealand, navigating the fast-paced world of advertising and branding.
With degrees in cultural anthropology, film production, and fine arts photography, Melissa’s diverse background is reflected in her ability to adapt to any brief, crafting visual narratives that are both emotive and visually stimulating. Her career has taken her from the jungles of Costa Rica to the streets of Cuba, and when she’s not behind the lens, she’s often scaling cliffs or brainstorming her next project.
Driven by curiosity and a refusal to become stagnant, Melissa thrives in environments that challenge her to see the world in new ways.
