About the event

An introduction to skateboarding photography. Learn the art of skateboarding photography and techniques to help you capture the action. Meet and work with Amar, an elite athlete in the discipline of park skateboarding.

You will learn how to work with natural light while capturing a fast moving subject in an outdoor setting and……have heaps of fun!

Techniques covered

Using the camera in manual mode
Composition and best angles to shoot
Track moving subjects in auto mode
How to capture the action “manoeuvres” and tricks

What to bring

Camera
Any lens you have (wide/ zoom, we can make it work)
SD card
ND Filter (if you have one)
Hat
Water bottle
Sunscreen

I don't have a camera/lens. Will I be able to borrow one?

Yes there will be a couple of extra cameras and lenses for you to try out

Is there any parking available?

Yes there is parking inside the park, to the left of the skatepark

Is there a minimum number of attendees required for this event to go ahead? If so, what is the cutoff date?

Minimum of 3 people for the event to go ahead. Cut off date is Saturday 27th Feb at 10am

Can minors (under 18) register for this event if accompanied by a responsible adult who also books their own ticket?

Yes a minor can join as long as accompanied by a responsible adult who books their own ticket

What precautions are in place to prevent the spread of COVID at this event?

This is an outdoor event. No masks are required and the standard social distancing practice will be in place, however if you are sick or unwell please do not attend the workshop. We will arrange a credit to another event which you can attend at a later date.

Entrance to the park is on the corner of Jasper Rd and Seven Hills Rd. Drive into the park follow the road around until to see the skatepark, there is a carpark to the left. We will meet there.
