About the event
Join award winning photographer and Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Dylan Giannakopoulos for an in depth landscape photography workshop held at the Docklands on Saturday 27th April 2019. Drawing upon the experience that he has gained from capturing landscapes from around the globe, Dylan has designed the workshop to provide participants with the tools to take their landscape photography to the next level.
Building upon the fundamentals, participants will:
- Learn how to take creative control over their camera’s shutter speed with square neutral density (ND) filters
- Understand how quality of light plays a critical role in photography and how to plan your shoots accordingly
- Discover how to use compositional techniques in your landscape photography to create captivating imagery
- Master control of various camera modes and settings such as aperture priority and manual focusing, and learn how to read your camera’s histogram.

- Balancing the exposure triangle (ISO, aperture and shutter speed)
- Compositional techniques and rules
- Quality of light Square neutral density (ND) and polariser filters
- Calculating exposure times with ND filters
- Location planning
- Camera modes (manual and aperture priority)
- Basic camera settings and functions (exposure bracketing, manual focus, white balance, RAW vs JPEG, etc.)
