A casual photo walk around Auckland Domain
About the event
Join me, Aaron K, and three professional models as we take a walk around Auckland Domain and capture environmental portraits along the way.
Attendees will have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and photograph the models.
We'll meet at the Band Rotunda off Domain Drive at 9:00am. Don't be late!
Techniques covered
- Choosing good locations for portraits
- Directing subjects
- Working with natural light
- Using external flash guns (a.k.a. speedlights) to enhance portraits
What to bring
- Suitable clothing and footwear
- Camera and lens (all brands welcome)
- Memory cards
- Spare batteries

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking on uneven surfaces.
Yes, there is plenty of parking in the Domain.
Yes. There are bus stops near the Domain. The closest train station is Grafton Station.
