About the event
Join me for a two-hour online session on editing your aurora images. I won the David Malin Award for astrophotography in 2018, and I'll take you through my workflow from raw file to finished image in Lightroom and Photoshop. You don't need your own aurora photographs to follow along.
Here's how the two hours run:
- Lightroom workflow for aurora images (10 mins): importing, organising and selecting your aurora frames
- Lightroom adjustments (40 mins): colour, exposure and clarity
- Break (10 mins)
- Photoshop techniques for aurora images (30 mins): layer masking and curves adjustment layers
- Timelapse editing and compilation (20 mins): editing and compiling timelapse sequences of the night sky
- Q&A (10 mins): your questions on editing aurora and timelapse images
Some familiarity with Lightroom and Photoshop helps, as I won't be covering the basics of the software. Everyone's welcome, whatever camera you shoot with.
