About the event
Join me for an Autumn Photo Walk and Coffee Meetup in the world-renowned Hamilton Gardens.
Note: This is a free event, however, you will need to pay a $20 entry fee for the enclosed gardens (if you don't already have a pass) and bring money for a coffee.
We'll meet at 9:30am for a coffee in the Hamilton Gardens Cafe, and chat about all things photography for an hour or so before we head into the gardens for a photo walk. I'll be on hand to assist with composition ideas in the different gardens.
The autumn colours are stunning here during May and this is the perfect time to capture them!
Sony gear may be available for loan at this event. If there is anything you would like to try, please email me at least two weeks before the event - photos@meghannmaloneyphotography.co.nz
Sunday the 10th of May will be a back up date in case of bad weather. As the gardens offer a lot of cover we'll only postpone if the weather is seriously bad.

- How to frame a scene
- Using various composition techniques to tell a stronger story with your image
What to bring
- Camera
- Lenses (e.g. 16-35mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm)
- Polariser
- Tripod and ND filters (optional if you want to create longer exposures, I recommend bringing them for more creative options)
- Wet weather gear (rain jacket, good shoes)
- Money for $20 entry fee and coffee
