About the event
The Bay to Birdwood is the largest, continually-held motoring event for veteran, vintage and classic vehicles held anywhere in the world.
Take this opportunity to practice using your camera in various autofocus modes, autofocus areas and shutter speeds to ensure you get sharp photos in the very difficult situation of photographing moving cars. The camera’s drive mode gives you options for various continuous shooting speeds to try out. You can also practice the technique of panning with the cars to get that blurred background look.
WARNING: There is inherent danger in any motoring event, so be very aware of cars. In particular, do not walk on or take photos on the road at any time. The location I have chosen has a guardrail between where we will be, and the road.
When leaving our meet-up, please note there could be a one way re-direction on North East Rd between Houghton Hollow Road and Lower North East Rd from 8-10am
