About the event
Setting out into the bush on a landscape photography trip is like stepping into a beautiful but unpredictable dance with nature. It's a journey full of both challenges and rewards, especially when that journey involves strapping a pack on your back and heading off into the wilderness, be it for a day or several. The call of the wild combined with the pursuit of the perfect shot - it's an adventure that promises the thrill of the unknown and the potential for unparalleled visual storytelling.
In this online session, we will unravel the complexities of wilderness photography and transform them into manageable, exciting opportunities for stunning imagery. We'll explore the essentials, shedding light on the optimal gear and equipment you should consider, strategies to overcome on-the-spot challenges, and advice on conveying the natural beauty that surrounds you.
But, the session extends beyond just capturing captivating images. We'll also look into the essential aspects of wilderness safety and navigational know-how. Because in the heart of the wilderness, knowledge and preparedness can mean the difference between a successful photography excursion and a troublesome one.
Whether you're a seasoned bushwalker or a passionate photographer looking to break free from cityscapes, this session should leave you with many tips you can utilise on your next adventure, or perhaps inspire you to try your first.
