This is a beginner friendly workshop that will also suit more advanced photographers wanting to learn the art of wildlife photography.
Taking photos of animails isn't just about photography techniques - you need to know how to read the animals and be in the right place at the right time. Brett will be there to guide you into the right place on the day,
There will be plenty of loan equipment on the day including the new Sony A7V camera and suitable lenses for wildlife.
Symbio Wildlife Park is the perfect photography location!
📸 Close-up 🐨 animal opportunities
We will have the opportunity to photograph many Australia signature species like Koala, Kangaroo, Wallabies, even Quokka with Joeys. The park also has many exotic species like Meerkats, Red Pandas and Cheetah. We will be ensuring we at the enclosures during feeding times to get the best encounters with the animals.

Taken with: Sony A1ii, Sony 24-70mm GMii
During the workshop we will have at least one close encounter (most likely Quokka). We get behind the fence line to create some very unique images of the animals. These encounters are normally $150 on their own!
The remaining time of the workshop we will be walking around Symbio Wildlife Park in the general park areas, and will finish the workshop off with another unique encounter with the Kangaroos.
Symbio Wildlife Park has done an incredible job to ensure that many of the enclosures are designed with plants, natural perches and open backgrounds. This will help us capture more natural wildlife imges without the typical zoo cages.
