About the event
An amazing venue, with plenty of natural light. The best way to start a journey into portraiture. Without jumping in the deep end with flash, learn the fundamentals of natural light, and how flash works as an aid, whilst still focusing on the scene, model and interior itself.
With a number of 'scenes' (pardon the pun) to shoot, you'll surely walk away with some incredible images, and feel confident in your next portrait shoot.
We'll focus on posing, talent interaction and storytelling in your images, to create a series rather than focusing on individual images.
Coming from a filmmaking background, I don't shoot images, I try to think of capturing scenes, that means details, mood, colours, and textures. All are important to a portrait.
