About the event
Although aiming for the Saturday, the exact date will be emailed to you from Sony, as it will mainly depend on the weather forecast.
Starting at the Chateau Dorrien car park, 9 Seppeltsfield Road, Tanunda, for some pre-sunset photos.
Leave promptly at 5:15pm for the short drive to Seppeltsfield Mausoleum. Sunset is at 6:05pm for this location's beautiful views over the Barossa. By 7pm it should be dark enough for the last view of the core of the Milky Way for this year.
We will do some creative lighting of the surrounding area to add some added value to the earthbound portion of the photos.
NOTE: It's important to bring a light, such as a headlamp or torch as there is no light at the location. The 70-metre bitumen path to the monument is quite steep, followed by 12 steps at the monument. If that is an issue for you, please consider your abilities.
