This workshop extends the 'Making Great Photobooks' session by concentrating on the most popular part: working with images on the page. This is a thrilling exercise as it reveals new promise in images you thought you knew. (You don't have to attend the previous workshop to learn heaps from this one. But if you have, you'll add to what you already know!)
Bring a few images and your ideas and see them come to life! We can see immediately how working with layout, type, sequence and proportions can make remarkable differences to image effectiveness. I guarantee it will be revelatory if you've never really worked with images on the page.

What do I know about books?
Not only have I written 40-odd books on photography, I designed several of them myself and am a veteran of industry tools such as Aldus Publisher, Quark XPress and InDesign. Unlike most photographers and authors, I work directly on the production files with my publisher's design teams. In short, I know what makes a photobook truly work — both visually and technically.
