This event is a special launch experience for the new Sony Alpha 7R VI,in collaboration with Sony Australia, Digidirect, and Lucius Yin.
It celebrates Sony’s latest high-resolution imaging system, designed for creators who seek greater precision, tonal depth, and flexibility in portrait and editorial photography. All participants will receive an AUD $150 Sony voucher, redeemable toward selected Sony cameras and lenses.

This is not positioned as a conventional photography workshop.
Rather, it is a guided creative encounter shaped around light, presence, and image-making.
The Sony Alpha 7R VI is introduced here not only as a new tool, but as part of a broader conversation — between precision and sensitivity, between technology and the way we see people through light.
Within this space, portraiture is approached through restraint rather than intensity: soft tonal transitions, quiet gestures, and the subtle dialogue between shadow and skin. Images are not “taken” in a rush, but formed through attention.

This is a refinement space — designed for photographers ready to evolve their visual language.
Lucius Yin is a Melbourne-based photographer working across portrait, fashion, and editorial photography. His work explores the relationship between natural light, controlled studio environments, and emotional direction. Rather than focusing on technique alone, his practice is centered on how images feel — and how subtle shifts in light and composition shape perception.
He has led and developed portrait-focused workshops that combine technical instruction with a more reflective approach to visual storytelling.
