About the event
Join us on Saturday 21st October for a unique photography workshop at the Melbourne Skydeck, led by Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Dylan Giannakopoulos. Located in the Eureka Tower, Melbourne Skydeck offers photographers uninterrupted panoramic views of Melbourne from the highest observation deck in the Southern Hemisphere. Whether you're an amateur or a seasoned photographer, this event provides the opportunity for you to elevate your skills and create breathtaking images that showcase Melbourne like never before.
At the workshop, you will:
- Learn how to plan your shoot around key times of the day
- Discover how to utilise urban features as compositional elements
- Balance the elements of the exposure triangle (ISO, aperture and shutter speed)
- Master control of various camera modes and settings such as aperture priority and manual focusing and learn how to read your camera’s histogram.
Strictly limited to 6 attendees, the small group structure of the workshop ensures that Dylan’s can provide plenty of one on one tuition whilst ensuring social distancing. After the workshop, you will be invited to join a private Facebook group that is strictly limited to past attendees of Dylan Gianna Photography Workshops. The Facebook group offers members a space to share their images, ask questions and learn tips and tricks from Dylan.
Please note that the workshop fees do not include your general admission ticket to the Melbourne Skydeck. It is essential to your workshop experience that you bring along a Lens Skirt, Anti-Reflective Silicone Lens Hood or an equivalent product to block out reflections. Please read the FAQs before booking.
WET WEATHER & COVID POLICY
Whilst we will be indoors, heavy rain or poor visibility will have an impact on the guest experience. The decision to cancel or postpone the workshop due to weather conditions will be made 24-48 hours prior unless in extraordinary circumstances. If you have tested positive for COVID-19, you must not attend the event. Please contact sonyscene.sanz@sony.com prior to the event to arrange a refund.
