Capture the Iconic Great Ocean Road From Up Above

About the event

Join award-winning photographer and Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Dylan Giannakopoulos, for a once-in-a-lifetime experience: photographing the Great Ocean Road from a privately chartered, doors-off helicopter on Saturday, October 5th, 2024.

Experience the thrill of capturing unparalleled views without the interference of window glare or reflections. This exclusive chartered flight allows you to fly closer to iconic coastal landmarks, following a flight path specially tailored for photographers and videographers. With just three passengers per flight, you’ll enjoy approximately 30 minutes of unobstructed shooting time from a window seat.

To make sure you get the most out of this unique aerial photography experience, Dylan will be running a private, online presentation for guests on Thursday 26th September at 8:00pm. A session recording will be sent to those who are unable to attend or book the experience after the online session has already taken place.

Please Note: Sunday, October 6th, is reserved as a backup date in case of inclement weather. Ensure you’re available on both dates when booking, as refunds will not be provided if you cannot attend the rescheduled flight. There are important details below, so please carefully read the full FAQ section before booking.

Why not make a day of it?

Guests who book Dylan’s Great Ocean Road Astrophotography Workshop on the 5th of October 2024 will be sent a 20% discount code for Great Ocean Road Seascape Photography Workshop on the same day, through Sony Scene messages. The code will be sent out within 48-72 hours, subject to availability.

ADVERSE WEATHER & COVID POLICY

The weather in the area is highly localised and subject to frequent changes. Therefore, the decision to cancel, postpone, or alter the event, including but not limited to keeping the helicopter doors on, will be made at the sole discretion of 12 Apostles Helicopters and Dylan Gianna Photography. This decision may be made up to or during the advertised event time. Please be aware that weather conditions may also necessitate delays in takeoff, which could affect the event's finish time. While every effort will be made to keep the helicopter doors off, safety considerations may require them to remain on. If this occurs, the flight will proceed as planned, and no refunds will be issued.

If the scheduled flight on October 5th, 2024, is unable to proceed, the event will be rescheduled for 11:00 AM on Sunday, October 6th, 2024. If the flight cannot take place on either day, you will receive a refund equal to the event fee paid. Please note that any additional expenses incurred, such as travel or accommodation, are not refundable and are the responsibility of the participant.

If you have tested positive for COVID-19, you must not attend the event. Please contact sonyscene.sanz@sony.com prior to the event to arrange a refund.
