Seven days chasing the aurora and exploring the best of Iceland

About the event

This seven day workshop is a small group tour, catering for those who want to create some amazing images in Iceland. Getting on ridge lines above glaciers, rugged coasts and mountain valleys – this country is incredibly unique and needs to be experienced firsthand.

With no set itinerary or accomodation, this is an 'adventure workshop' which allows us to follow preferred weather conditions and provide you with the best chance of capturing the aurora. After years of running workshops here I feel this is the ideal way to maximise your photo opportunities and provide people with the best experience. There’s much more to Iceland than what you’ve commonly seen online!

Learn every aspect of landscape photography, from capturing the sunrise, waterfalls, seascapes, sunsets and the northern lights. Group size is limited to 6, allowing for flexibility and a personal learning experience. One-on-one post-processing tutorials are also include. Highlights include the seascapes at Vik, Diamond Beach, Jokulsarlon glacier, Svinafellsjokull glacier, Vesturhorn, Eystrahorn and so much more.

Yes. Hotels in Iceland book over 12-months in advance, which can really make things difficult for photographers who want to pursue ideal shooting conditions. Being an 'adventure' workshop, we will be utilising AirBnB accommodation and guesthouses which will be booked during the workshop. This will allow us to be in the right places at the best time, avoiding bad weather and capturing powerful images.
Meals and flights.
Meetup point is the Reykjavik Lights Hotel. There is a direct shuttle service from Keflavik airport.
