About the event
Join award winning photographer and Sony Digital Imaging Advocate, Dylan Giannakopoulos on his Introduction to Landscape Photography Workshop held in Southbank on Saturday 19th October 2019. Drawing upon the experience that he has gained from capturing landscapes from around the world, Dylan has designed the workshop with an urban & cityscape focus to teach you the fundamentals of landscape photography and help you get out of shooting in auto.
Taking place in Southbank, participants will:
- Learn about the three elements that make up the exposure triangle (ISO, aperture and shutter speed) and how to balance them to achieve the correct exposure.
- Discover how to utilise bridges and other urban features as compositional elements in their cityscape photography
- Understand quality of light and how it influences the best times of the day to shoot.
- Master control of various camera modes and settings such as aperture priority and manual focusing, and learn how to read their camera’s histogram.
This workshop is well suited to beginners, skilled enthusiasts and intermediate photographers who would like a refresher on the basics. Strictly limited to 8 attendees, the small group structure of the workshop ensures that Dylan can provide plenty of one on one tuition.
After the workshop, participants will be invited to join a private Facebook group which is strictly limited to past attendees of Dylan Gianna Photography Workshops. The Facebook group offers members a space to share their images, ask questions and learn tips and tricks from Dylan.
