Online Information Session for Sony Cinema Line House (VIC)

Dial In Online and learn about the workshops available at Sony Cinema Line House (VIC), with video workshops across 6-8 December in The Patch, Victoria. We welcome participants of all skill levels.

Featuring state of the art Sony Cinema Line camers, G-Master Lenses and nestled in the Victorian forest, the perfect setting to explore and develop your video skills is brought to life.

Workshops at Sony Cinema Line House (VIC) is designed to support videographers and filmmakers of all levels, with sessions ranging from Introduction to Videography to a 6 Hour Sony Short Film Challenge where participants can compete individually or bring a team of up to 4 people.

We will cover the recommended equipment to bring, basic information and content about each workshop, and answer any questions you may have to participate. To allow enough time for particpants to get any required accessories or equipment, we have made this online session a few weeks prior to the Sony Cinema Line House physical event.

During the Sony Cinema Line House (VIC) workshops you will be supplied a Sony FX30 or FX3 Cinema Line camera to use, as well as a selection of Sony G-Master lenses.

As a general guide for the Sony Cinema Line House video workshops, it is recommended that you bring/have:

  • A high speed SD card (256GB capacity or higher, V60 speed or higher, V90 recommended)
  • Video tripod 
  • Water Bottle and Snack

For more advanced users, the below is recommended but optional: 

  • 82mm Variable ND Filter with step down rings
  • Some pre-production ideas and/or short 1-4 page script for actors 
  • Sony CF-A Express Memory Card, 320GB or Higher Capacity
  • Moodboard
  • Headphones for monitoring audio

For workshops where onsite editing is incorporated:

  • Laptop suitable for video editing (recommended 32GB+ RAM, 1TB+ of SSD, High Speed Processor & Graphics)
  • Laptop Charger 
  • Portable SSD (1TB or higher capacity)
