About the event
Join Sony Imaging Advocate, Craig Turnbull in his home studio for a comprehensive but relaxed, hands-on introduction to studio photography.
Open to users of all camera manufacturers, however, for this event you will not need your own gear. There will be 2 tethered setups using Sony Alpha cameras, one studio as pictured below, and the other to perhaps mimic a cafe or in-store product shoot.
The afternoon will begin with a studio tour (5 minutes) it's pretty small, followed by a discussion on the gear required for a basic, to mid-level setup. This will include the lighting, modifiers, camera gear, backdrops, light stands, as well as computer monitor calibration and colour management.
Craig will demonstrate and discuss the techniques of capturing images both tethered and un-tethered from start to finish. The group, split in 2, will with guidance, have the opportunity to shoot tethered, first with one light and then moving onto 2 or more.
